Background

Vision Foundation was established in 2010 and registered with the Assistant Registrar Joint Stock Companies, Government of Sindh, under the Societies Act 1860. As the organization grew, the management decided to incorporate it with the SECP under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017, with the name "Vision Foundation House".

Now Vision Foundation has been merged with all its assets and projects into Vision Foundation House. This step promotes transparent accountability and enables us to expand our services more effectively.

Vision Foundation House is exempt from FBR taxes under Section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. It is also certified by the Pakistan Centre of Philanthropy (PCP) for meeting excellence and leadership standards as an NPO, as per FBR guidelines.

About the Founder

Engr. Akram Lodhi

I, Engr. Akram Lodhi, only son of my parents, got a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore in 1990. My journey to establish the Vision Foundation (later Vision Foundation House) began with my own battle with blindness caused by Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), which started from Night Blindness. All my dreams were shattered. I accepted the fate, and Almighty Allah gave me courage, and I have stood up with the mission that in future there will be no more blind like me.

Therefore, I established WAK Eye Hospital in Karachi, which is Pakistan's 1st Night Blindness Eradication Centre. This hospital is running under the supervision of NPO Vision Foundation House. This hospital is providing free treatment of Glaucoma, Cataract surgeries, Minor surgeries, and treatment of Night Blindness for deserving patients. Our primary focus is to reach underprivileged children, especially those at risk due to malnutrition, by providing early diagnostics and accessible treatments to prevent night blindness.

By supporting this mission, you can help to improve countless lives, giving children and others the chance for a brighter, clearer future.
